Illinois House Wants NCAA To Modify Its TV Policy SPRINGFIELD, 111., May 21 UP.— The Illinois House has called the NCAA policy on televising college sports events "unpro-gressive." The House adopted a resolution Wednesday requesting the University of Illinois to urge the NCAA to "modify" its rules so the U. of I. may have some of its sports attractions televised. The resolution was a substitute for a bill that would have required the U. of I. to allow televising of its sports events. Opponents said this bill would have prevented the university from competing with members of the NCAA and Big Ten.
