The latter raced RADIOLA into defeat and just failed to last. ALAKATCH, shuffled back early and forced to take the overland route, closed fastest of all. CONFUSER lacked sufficient response while moving along the inside. DARE TO HOPE hung in the drive. RADIOLA was hard pressed while holding the lead into the stretch and gave way. DOTTY BYRNE was outrun. BEACONS GLORY flattened out badly. SUITS ME was through early. VEZZOSO displayed early speed but raced extremely wide. ORB moved menacingly to midstretch and hung. MIGHTY RULER raced evenly. SO EVER was through early. SLY LAWYER set the pace to the stretch and stopped to a walk. FOX LAIR, a distant trailer for a half-mile, saved ground while rallying and continued to close ground after forcing his way through on the inside of PORT WINDSOR in the early stretch LITTLE CAPTAIN weakened when unable to reach the leader.
