MICROWAVE was slow to find his best stride and was outrun for half the trip, then came strongly on the outside, and although required to go wide on the stretch turn, got to the front an eighth out to draw away thereafter. LUART had good speed from the start and alternated with LAMOUR in pacemaking to dispose of the latter in the stretch but was no match for the winner. MEAN WOMAN was always close up and went steadily to the end. INTENTION swerved in the stretch but was fighting it out for second place at the finish. KELLYS MISTAKE was permitted to drop back to last place on the backstretch, then came strongly in the run home. MISS HOUR failed to threaten. BURNT LOOK improved her position steadily while racing on the outside, and finishing gamely in the middle of the track, was up to win narrowly. CROSSBOW GIRL drew away from the others nearing the stretch turn, and although holding fairly well, was unable to last. BENTONS LUCY was a good contender throughout and was close up at the end. BOUNCING BOY finished gamely. WELCOME GUEST was unable to find racing room in the inside nearing the far turn and dropped back, but came again between horses in the stretch. PRAIRIE STATE moved strongly on the outside after going an eighth, and taking a good lead around the stretch turn, was not in serious danger from NATCHEZ GIRL, although hand ridden to the end. The latter went to the front at once and raced well after being passed by the winner. BERGERUK raced steadily throughout. DOUBLE BARREL was not rushed in the early running, then moved up fast on the outside when ready to make his move, and caught JUMP TUNE after entering the last furlong, but was all out to hold KILBELIN TRAFFIC. The latter trailed to the stretch, then came very fast next the rail and was gaining rapidly. JUMP TUNE had the most early speed but weakened in the final sixteenth. GALA FETE soon sprinted to the front and increasing her margin as the race progressed, was many lengths in front at midstretch, but weakened in the last sixteenth and was doing her best to win. RECLINE was fairly well up throughout and, although going wide in the stretch, was gaining rapidly at the end. STOP GAP was closest to the leader from the start and went steadily to the finish in a creditable race. TAHITIAN was racing fairly well at the end. MON-PHARO raced wide and was never a contender. SPUR ON broke well but dropped out of it immediately and showing little inclination to run, was taken up and permitted to gallop on the extreme outside during the late stages. FUTURAMATIC went to the front at once and, after being headed by QUIHI, again took command when ready to widen in the stretch and win easily. ACE CAPTAIN was a good contender from the start and finished with courage. HOBAD went rather wide in the stretch, but was racing well at the end. FINE FETTLE and RUSH STREET each came strongly near the end to finish in a dead-heat for fourth place. QUIHI tired. LEGATEE began slowly and was never a contender. Scratched— 84816 Royal Stream, 118. HASTY FREEDOMS saved ground "where possible in the early running, and finding an opening on the stretch turn, came through to take command and hold HEDGEWOOD. The latter trailed early and was required to go very wide on the stretch turn but finished strongly. WOODSIDE was in close quarters on the inside in the first quarter but saved ground in the stretch. BREZNO and BY GONE DAYS were used up making the pace. GRAND JUROR was never dangerous, although finishing well. LEEST0WN had speed to the stretch. Lees town claimed by W. H. Bishop.
