CHERIBEACON, unhurried in the early stages, moved through between horses in the stretch and outfinished COPIER. The latter, slow to settle in stride, circled her field on the final turn to wrest command between calls in the stretch and narrowly missed. SMOKY DAY was well placed, but faltered when put to a drive. HIGH JACKIE was used up in vying for the lead. FIGHTING LOW was never a serious factor. FLYING TUCK was void of early speed. FUENTE, hustled along early to gain the lead, was forced to race slightly wide to the stretch, came to the inside after drawing clear and was briskly handled to the end. CRANBERRY JOE made his bid from the outside on rounding the final turn and, while unable to handle the winner, was clearly best of the others SIR FAY improved his racing position from between horses, but could not menace the top pair SILLY SARA was used up in vying for the early lead. CHRIS CROSS, slow to settle in stride, moved up between horses on entering the stretch and finished full of run. RED LIPS had speed to the stretch and tired. QUICK T. was well placed, but lacked a closing rally. FLAME OUT was never a factor. BILLUP was bumped and forced to take up sharply at the start. THE CLAW was through early.
