Perez; bred by Mrs. W. Piunket Stewart and W. F. Hitt. IN GATE-5:21J. OFF AT 5:22 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. GREAT FUN, in hand while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, responded to brisk urging during the drive and, disposing of BERYLDON, won going away. The latter, well placed and reserved after the initial quarter mile, settled for the stretch run with a short lead but was unable to stay with the top one. DANGER MARTIN lacked early foot but finished strongly under punishment. TROPIC RAIDER went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, then weakened. FRENCH ROSE saved ground in a good effort and had no mishap. SIR CHEERS had a rough race. KIRKWAY MISS, forced wide throughout, was unable to reach serious contention. BOGAN began alertly but dropped far back immediately after the break. TREADA BOY tired after racing well to the stretch Scratched— 47415 Maiden Reward. 111.
