BONNIE INEZ saved ground on the second turn to become the chief challenger and, passing ROAMING OSCAR nearing the stretch turn, got to the front but had to be hustled along to hold an advantage. ROAMING OSCAR headed the field on the inside soon after the start and raced well after being passed. DOUBLE BARREL went evenly to best the others. ISAPRINCE made up some ground. SCRIPT BAR bore out badly on the second turn, carrying LADY RIDGEWELL and HASTY HANK with her, and BIG LOU G. came to the outside of all three on the turn. Each of the four lost all chance. BAYOU ROSE got to the front early and, well rated while making the pace, drew out when ready in the stretch to win easily. BOORAL was a good contender to the final furlong, then began to drop back gradually and was doing his best to save second place. ETERNAL MOON, badly outrun early, finished steadily on the inside. IDA WIN failed to offer serious contention. MR. TOPS had some early speed. The others were outpaced. TEDDYS REVIEW took command at once and, weM rated while setting the pace, withstood a challenge from ETHERIDGE nearing the stretch turn and held to the end. ETHERIDGE moved up on the outside after leaving the backstretch and was almost equal with TEDDYS REVIEW when he bore out on the turn, then raced steadily well out from the rail. AMULET finished with good courage. IMPERIAL JAY was unable to keep up. BAKERS HOPE had early speed. SURETIP and WHITS ROSE were never dangerous. Scratched-42638 Whylaw, 106. WITTED moved up to SKIPPYS FIRST on the back-stretch, then dropped back as if through, but came again in the last sixteenth to catch ANDREW J. in the closing strides and hold RICKEY RAY safe. The latter was outpaced to the stretch, then came fast on the outside nearing the finish. ANDREW J. took a clear lead after entering the stretch but tired unexpectedly in the last thirty yards. SKIPPYS FIRST set the pace and held on fairly well. PAULS PAL and LAURA C. were outrun all the way. PAPAGAYO had early speed but stopped badly. Scratched— 47566 Dcodend, 112. BETTYS BEAUTY headed FLYING RECORD after going a half mile, then drew out entering the final quarter, but was hand ridden along to the end, although not in danger. FLYING RECORD took command when DEEP WONDER bolted on the second turn, but weakened in the stretch. HAPPY QUEEN was not dangerous, although finishing fairly well. GERRY FRANK was unable to keep up. STEADY JET was outrun. DEEP WONDER was leading when she bolted to the extreme outside on the second turn and was pulled up after having raced very wide on the next turn. NO TRICKS was permitted to race some distance back of the leaders for about six furlongs, then made a very strong move to reach contention and wearing down CHICLE II. in the stretch, was going away at the end. The latter was a strong contender early and caught EQUIM0RE after going six furlong to take a good lead, but tired in the stretch and just lasted to save second place. YOULL DO came from far out of it to finish fast. APPIAN WAY also closed considerable ground CULLERTON was close enough early but failed to offer a threat. VAIN VIXEN made a good move on the inside after going five furlongs, then tired. MOKATUCK was badly outrun. EQUIMORE and TANBARK stopped badly. Scratched-468381 Reighs Lass. 106.
