Judd Alt, One-Time Rider, Suffers Fatal Stroke CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville. Ky.. May 9. — Judd Alt, one-time jockey, and recently a member of the Kentucky Bloodstock Sales Company and stable agents for the Emil Denemark stable, passed away early today at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville. Alt had been in poor health for the past year and suffered a stroke while at the local track last Friday. Alt began his turf career in 1913 as a reinsman for the late John Walters, who trained the W. C. Hendrie stable, and he also rode for Harry W. Plant. Funeral services for Alt will be held Wednesday at 10 a. m. from the Neurath Funeral Home, 725 East Market Street, Louisville. The deceased turfman is survived by a son, John, Jr., of Philadelphia; his mother. Mrs. Anna Alt. a sister, Miss Ida Alt, and a brother William, all of Lexington, Kentucky, and another brother, Louis M. Alt, of Lafayette, Indiana.
