Official Family at Old Woodbine Changes Faces FacesMove Move First in Series Providing Opportunities for Younger Men MenFORT FORT ERIE Canada May 1 Com ¬ mencing with the opening of the Old Woodbine meeting Monday May 6 there will be some changes made in the official family It will be the first in a series of rotations in the Ontario Jockey Clubs pol ¬ icy providing opportunities for some of the younger officials to gain experience in various capacities capacitiesPrior Prior to this seasons opening the O J C sent several of their racing official staff to receive instructions at Marshall Cas sidys school conducted at Jamaica race track in New York Those who attended the weeks course are the ones who will be assigned new posts at Old Woodbine WoodbineJohn John Finn paddock judge at all Ontario tracks has been nominated by the O J C and approved by the Ontario Racing Com ¬ mission as a junior steward Under Section 9 Rule 65 of the O O R C rules of racing junior stewards are vested with all the powers and duties of stewards except the power to vote voteStarter Starter Samuiel Hall will assume the post of paddock judge and Douglas Haig former starter on the circuit but latterly a patrol judge will return to the starters stand standMyron Myron Davis of the New York Jockey Club William J Risewick supervisor of racing in the province and Thomas Clark will complete the group of stewards who will serve in the stand at the 24day meet Risewick and Clark represent the Ontario Racing Commission CommissionMajor Major John Nethersple and Wilson Dunn who are serving as stewards at the Fort Erie meeting terminate their posts here May 4 Nethersole will assume similar duties at Beulah Park while Dunn will leave for Western Canada where he will serve in the stewards stand at Exhibition Park in Vancouver and later in Calgary CalgaryThe The bugler will ride a horse onto the track when the field is leaving the paddock for the different races He will be outfitted in huntsmans garb and will sound the post time warning
