Park Dandy Proves Best In Lincolns Slatersville SlatersvilleSeattles Seattles Handicap Runner Finds Opposition Easy to Whip in Dash DashBy By FRED GALIANI GALIANILINCOLN LINCOLN DOWNS Lincoln R I May 1 Park Dandy W J Beatties local pride and star of the handicap ranks registered a facile victory in the features Slatersville Purse here this summery afternoon With Warren Lane the former jump rider who is doing excellently at this meeting in the saddle Park Dandy scored by three lengths over Mrs M B Lees Our Only One Two lengths farther back Herbie Lewis Loose Lip LipPark Park Dandy making his fourth start of the year paid a surprisingly large mutuel of 860 and covered the seven furlongs in 127 Park Dandy had competed in three handicaps on the local scene but showed nothing in any of those events His opposi ¬ tion today however was of a lesser calibre and he managed to dispose of them in a forthright manner mannerThe The sevenyearold gelded son of Bull Dandy Park Avenue who was bred by his owner was reserved off the early pace as War and Peace and Our Only took turns alternating for the lead Gradually working his way up from the rear ranks Park Dandy had m6ved into a contending posi ¬ tion on the turn and had little trouble defeating his rivals As the saying goes around the race track he merely cake walked Our Only One held on well to be second while War and Peace tired from his early dueling and wound up fifth as Loose Lip who turned in an even effort finished third
