1 GENERAL NEWS OF THE DAY ; Fireman Jim Flynn, 55, one-time great heavyweight boxer of Pueblo, Colo., died Friday at the city hospital in that city from a weak heart. In 1917 Flynn knocked out Jack Dempsey, who later became world heavyweight boxing champion, in one round. Dempsey did the same thing to Flynn a year later. William Green, president of the American Federation of Labor, said that the negotiations to avert a strike in the Akron rubber factories jiow being held by the labor department "had not changed the picture." Leo A Schueneman, one of Chicagos outstanding figures in the bowling sport, died Friday morning at the Alexian Brothers hospital. He had been in the hospital for the last six weeks suffering from high blood pressure, heart ailment and diabetes.
