New England Notes SUFFOLK DOWNS, Boston, Mass.. June 18. J. T. Amodie has added Mowrite to his string at Suffolk Downs. W. J. Susini reports that he had to destroy the juvenile Double U Jay. Pat Fringe is shipping the plater Alibi Babe to Montreal, consigned to H. Hoffman. Jockey Joe Renick, who came to Boston to pilot Kingfisher in the Bunker Hill Handicap, returned to Aqueduct. Bonzar. Alibi Babe and Count dOr have been placed on the stewards list at Suffolk Downs. Sam Garfield has added the two-year-old Bud West to his string, purchasing the Bud Lerner colt at private sale. George D. Wideners Vietta, accompanied by a stable pony and trainer J. Creevy, arrived Friday from New York for her engagement in Saturdays ,500 Betsy Ross Stakes. Vietta will be ridden by W. Mann. C. P. Sowers will ship June Seventh and Navy to Maryland Sunday to be turned out. Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Bledsoe, whose stable is trained by L. G. "Buster" Bedwell, returned after a visit to New York. They expect to campaign their horses in New England for the balance of the year. Trainer John Stillman is in receipt of word from owner L. J. Sambrot, Jr., who has raced a string in New England for some seasons. Sambrot is now stationed at the Army air base at Granada, Miss.
