SWEDE PETE had speed from the start, raced between horses and, after disposing of SARA-CHANA on entering the stretch, was all out to stall off GIN CHAMP. The latter, steadied along while being outruji early, came wide into the stretch and narrowly missed. CUANDEN stumbled leaving the gate, but quickly recovered to make a bold but belated bid.
