MAN 0 WAR SOUND AND WELL SARATOGA, X. Y., August IS. The turf world will be glad to know that there is nothing seriously wrong with Man o War and that lie will be ready for his engagement in the Travers Stakes on Saturday. The big colt pulled one of his plates during his phenomenal work on Tuesday and after bis return to the stable it was found that he was soiyewliat sore. This morning, however, he was as sound as over. It is astonishing how much solicitude was displayed on the part of everylHMly when it was rumored that the champion had shown lameness. Everybody wants to see him go on nnd achieve still greater triumphs than those with which he lias been credited to date, phenomenal as they are. With a fine day and track for the Travers, the meeting "etween John P. Grier and Man o War will be worth going many miles to see. Both horses are at the top of their form at the present time. A new record for the Travers is a certainty and, while Sir Bartons time for the distance over the Saratoga course is remarkably fast, there is not a student of public form who docs not believe that Man o War can duplicate or surpass it.
