PLURIBUS GOOD AMERICAN STOCK; TRACES TO HAMBURG AND HIMYAR Pluribus, winner of the Sanford Memorial, and which probably will not be seen under colors again this year because of an injury sustained in his last race resulting in one of his ankles filling considerably, was bred by his owner, T. W. OBrien of .Chicago, who owns both the sire and dam. Mr. OBriens stud is a small one, consisting of only six mares, but he has had quite a, degree of success already. Pluribus is much better than his sire Pluvius, son of Inflexible, by Hamburg, and the fact that his owner was willhS to race him against any two-year-old in training a couple of weeks ago indicates the confidence lie reposes in the big chestnut colt. Sylvita, dam of Pluribus, is by Electioneer, a son of Voter, and Quesal, by Himyar, with which William Lakeland won the Futurity arid other big stakes many years ago. Electioneer has been neglected in the stud for many years, although lie sired quite a few good performers, among them Leo Ray. When hist heard from lie was standing at Strathrpy, Ontario, at a fee of 5.
