Four of the get of Frontier Handicap winners are among the nominations for the $.r ,000 Provincial Handicap, to be decided at the Windsor Jockey Club meeting during the week of June 29 to July G. Landlord, one of the three entries by the J. K. P. lioss stable, is a son of Boniface and Tiareo. Boniface, with 127 pounds in the saddle, was piloted to victory in the 0,000 Frontier in 1922 by C. Turner, who was the Ross contract jockey in that year. Bloomtip, named by W. B. Wright for the Provincial, is the result of the union between Tippecanoe and May Bloom. Tippecanoe, with W. Obert in the saddle, was the winner of the big Windsor feature in 1914. He was one of the lightly weighted in his year, carrying but 103 pounds. J. W. Foremans entry in the Provincial Handicap is Copy. Boy, a son of Meridian and Hayrack. Meridian, a Kentucky Derby winner, also capturing the Frontier in his three-year-old year — 1911 — his rider being Tommy Koerner. He carried 11G pounds and ran the mile and an eighth in 1 :52V£. record for the Windsor fixture up to that renewal. Meridian also has a daughter named for the Provincial. He is the sire of Mrs. A. R. Iaw-sons Torrence. George M. Hendries colt Rancho entered for the Provincial, is the son of a near-win-i ner of the Frontier. Rancher finished second in the stake to Thornhill in 1916, after landing in third place to Slumber II. and Indolence the year previous. Among the liberal nominators to the Provincial this year is the Detroit-owned Bloom-field Stable which has named Marshal Ney, Ruane, Kid OKildaire. Rodney Thane, and Sudan, the get respectively of Chicle, Behave Yourself. High Time, Amadis and Sus Tar. W. .1. Salmon has made six entries, sons or [daughters of Dominant, Campfire. Bight Bri-| gade. The Finn, Fair Play and Lemberg. The Seagram Stable has named four for the Provincial. Sir Harry, by Wildair; Sarmatic, by Sarmation, Upsetta, by Upset and Sanabar, a daughter of Roubaix and Samovar.
