COEUR DE LION TRIUMPHS Scores Second Success of Omaha Meeting in Accounting for Club Purse. OMAHA, Neb., June 17. — Coeur do Lion ■cored his second Victory of the meeting when he took the measure of a good band that went to the post in the Club Purse, which was the afternoons main attraction at the Omaha coitrse. Buell rode a good race on the winner, restraining him from the early pace and making his move at the opportune moment. Coeur de Lion, though he only won by a neck, was hard held at the end and could have opened up daylight on Polvo, his closest competitor, had his rider chosen to .do so. Polvo was several lengths in advance of Dr. Larrabee, which beat Flicker by a half length for third place. The running strip was once again at its best, and good time was made in the majority of the races. The crowd was of average proportions. The shortest priced winner of the meeting scored in the opener. It was John A. Scott Jr.. and it took his all to accomplish the feat. He only won by a nose from lemon Seth. This pair hooked up at the stretch he ad and had a pretty battle through tho last eighth, with the winner getting the verdict at the end. Quiet was third. Senator Crow, which surprised the fans by winning at a long price several days ago, repeated this afternoon when he took the second race with ease. He was again overlooked by the talent and paid 1. SO. Golden Red was the short priced favorite in the race and was ridden by Pablo Martinez, a recent arrival from the Fast, but he was forced to bow to the winner and accept second place. Cleg was third. Finis Gloriosus held on long enough to take the third by a nose from the fast finishing Times Up. It was the winners first appearance in a couple of months. Praise made a show of those opposed to him in the fourth. He took command at tho rise or the barrier and never left any doubt as to his superiority, winning by five lengths. Antilles finished second and Martin L. was third.
