v L 1 3 j GOVERNOR GENERAL S CUP BALTIMORE, Mand, May 7.— Thomas F. Gorman, secretary of the Connaught Park Jockey Club, who is here for a few days doing missionary work, feels much encouraged at the manner in which the horsemen are responding- to the invitation to participate at the Hull track. Several of the more important stables have decided to send on part of their strings to race in Canada. The big attraction at the Connaught Park meeting this year will tie the governor generals cup, a dash of a mile and seventy yards for three-ycai-okls and upward. The cup will be presented to the owner of the winner by the governor genTal himself. This race will be run on Saturday, June 9, and on that night tho officials of the Jockey Club and others will be guests of Lord Willingdon at a dinner to be given at Government House.
