J. B. CAMPBELL TO TIJUANA Well-Known Turf Official to Be Racing Secretary and Associate Steward at Track. NEW YORK. N. Y., May 5.— The Tijuana Jockey Club, through its eastern representative, Gene Normile, was congratulated by horsemen at Jamaica, when the news was released that Jack B. Campbell had been engaged as racing secretary and associate steward. Gene Normile made the trip to Baltimore yesterday and following a conference with Campbell secured the latters promise to atfiliate himself with the Lower California Jockey Club. The engagement will be effective next fall. Campbell for many years was racing secretary at New Orleans and later at Miami. During the summer season he officiated at different Canadian tracks and later at Fair-mount Park, near St. Louis. The loss to New Orleans racing will be severely felt, for Campbell is a thorough and competent official and a credit to any racing association.
