LADY GOSSIP, hard urged throughout, showed high speed from the start, disposed of I1EDEMORA easily after three-eighths and, continuing well, withstood a challenge from CLEORA in the final quarter to win drawing away. CLEORA, weakly ridden and taken hack in the first quarter, moved up menaeing-ly and with a loss of ground after reaching the stretch, but tired near the end. BOSSIE saved much ground and outstayed the others. BROOKDAI.E MISS raced wide and closed g.-.inedy. SOUTHLAND PRINCE, away well, saved ground while following close up to the stretch, where he responded gamely and wore down COBY. The latter splinted into a clear lead after the first quarter, saved ground and heid on stubbornly, but was not gocd enough. ON TRIAL was in close eiuarters while forcing much of the early pace and tired in the final drive. LE SPORT suffered from lak of racing room to the stretch, where he finished fast. ULVERSTON lost much ground. RED KNOBS could not gain a contending position. DON TINKY lost ground and quit under pressure. BLANC SEING raced into a commanding lead with a rush after reaching the turn and. continuing fast, scored a handy victory. MASTER rushed into a contending position in the first quarter. lost ground entering the stretch, but finished fast and outstayed LE FLORE. The latter raced well with a saving of ground, but tired in the final drive. FOREIGN RELATIONS lost much ground in the first half mile aud failed to respond to hard pressure in the stretch. GOLDEN COLNA showed a fair effort. EDNA GLENN was shuffled back on the turn. LADY FINGERS, pinched back approaching the turn, moved up fast after recovering and, wearing down BETTY ANN, continued gamely and scored a lucky victory. FAIR ROSALIND rushed up fast in the first quarter, took the lead on the stretch turn, then ran out badly and, finishing fast when srtaightened out, might have been best. BETTY ANN had speed from the start, saved ground, but tired after reaching the stretch. CAMPION had no mishaps. HONEY LOCUST ran well. DUSKY MAIDEN and BEST BALANCE were crowded hack. DUNMORE. forced to lose much ground, moved up fast entering the stretch, but tired near the end. BUDDY BASIL, showing speed from the start, raced wide on the stretch turn and tired under pressure. KENTUCKY ACE tireeL BROAD AXE was done after showing speed to the streteh. FAIRY MAIDEN, hard ridden, saved much ground, but could not impiove her position and ran a dull race. RETORT saved ground for the entire distance and. hearing in badly, only narrowly missed running upon the winders heels in the final seventy yards. * TYPHOON had no mishaps and raced well. STARS AND STRIPES worked his way up fast after half a mile, then responded readily to hard riding after reaching the final quarter and gradually disposed of PURPLE SAND and outstayed LITTLE SCOUT, but pulled up lame. LITTLE SCOUT raced wide and, closing fast, headed PURPLE SAND right at the end. The latter saved ground under a timid ride for the entire race and held on fairly well to the final seventy yards. ADA ADIEU closed fast. NELLIE BALLOT had speed and suffered Interference when tiring in the 6tretch. Scratched— 7105 Dearborn, 113; 37037 Joseph Sabbath, 108.
