Kempt had his license revoked by the stewards for assaulting jockey R. OBrien after the running of the second race Thursday. Jockey R. OB/ien was set down for two days by the starter for disobedience at the post. Jockey J. Shelton was set down for three days by the stewards for rough riding, but will be permitted to keep his engagement in the Kansas City Handicap today. A. G. Tavener arrived from Aurora with the plater Flagship. For uttering profane and abusive language about an official, trainer E. J. Waggoner was fined 00. and stands suspended until the fine is paid.
