TOP KICK, away well, showed the most early speed, setting a good pace and staying close to the! rail, saved ground and held PANDEAN safe to the end. PANDEAN, slightly outpaced to the strleh, came to the outside, passed the leaders rapidly and was pressing the winner at the finish. Tills II. H LAD raced with the leaders and, holding on well, out gamed OBLIGE in a long and hard drive. OKI p,ia ran well to the stretch, but was pocketed and impeded when in close quarters, being unable to race freely. NOTUS tired. MARLOW challenged entering the stretch and moved up fast, but tired. SERGEANT SETH raced in closest pursuit of the leader throughout, gradually wore her down in the stretch and, taking the lead, outfinished MILES PRIOR. The latter was far out of it and outpaced to the stretch, came to the otuside, closed a big gap and finished fastest of all. PATSY II. showed the most early speed and raced into a long lead, but tired rapidly in the final eighth, just failing to last for second place. SCOTLAND GIRL raced well and gained much ground from a poor beginning. BLACK NAN was done in the stretch. BIG STICK and ANDACHT began poorlv. PATON alternated in forcing and setting the pace to the stretch with CANNON CLUB, ran out badly on the stretch turn, losing the lead, but when straightened out gamely came again into the lead and outfinished CANNON CLUB. The latter showed good speed all the way, took a big lead in the stretch when PATON ran out but tired in the last fifty yards. JUNIORS NURSE gained steadily, improved her position fast, but tired right at the end. WAR GRAIL began tiring entering the stretch. NAIKP.EC saved ground, raced well under timid riding and tired. NAIRBEC broke down badly at the end and came out of the race lamed. Scratched— 35301 Chief Sabattus, 110; 37115 Erin Go Bragh, 115. KEEHAN began fast, forced the early pace and then took the lead from DOROTHY LEE entering the stretch and teas slowly drawing away at the end. DOROTHY LEE set the pace briefly, but could not keep up with the winner after three-eighths. PERJURY gained steadily under a good ride and ran ■ good race. GOTTA GONOW raced close up and only tired in the last fifty yards. TEXAS LONG-BORN gained ground. BREAKAWAY quit PANIVAXA had a rough race. LUCKY HIT began fast and •bowed the most speed for the first three-eighths, hut after that was no match for the winner, but held on gamely. BIG SWEEP raced well, but could never improve bis position. The latter made up ground in the last half mile. CHICOLA bad no mishaps. BRIGAND quit after showing early speed. FACILITY was done in the stretch. HENGIST, close up ou the inside, graJually wore down and took the lead from MAGIC LIGHT entering the stretch and outstayed OCEAN CURRENT at tiie end. The latter was rated in pursuit of the leaders to the stretch, gained steadily with a strong challenge, but was not quite good enough and failed to wear down HENGIST. MAGIC LIGHT set a good pace for the first throe-quarters, tired and came wide but outgamed GLEE, which raced well, saved ground and had no mishaps.
