| NEW YORK TURF NOTES | ® ♦. NEW YORK, N. T., June 11. Dinny Higgins came on from his home, Prescott, Ont., and will remain for the remainder of the racing season. Jack Adler, following a long illness, returned to the fold today. Steve Burke joined the ranks of the club house commissioners today. Jim McClelland made his appearance today. He had been on the ailing list. Chestnut Oaks next engagement will be in the Shevlin and then he will be shipped to Chicago for the American Classic. Jockey Eddy Ambrose has turned his engagement book over to J. "Gallops" Brown for the remainder of the New York season. Jockey Workman resumed riding Monday, following a long layoff. He was kicked by Atlantis in the post parade, inflicting a severe leg wound. Jack Biener, which bolted through the temporary fence across the Widener course in his last race, will be laid up for some time. He has been turned out. The cuts were many and severe that he suffered about the legs and body. The B. B. Stable, at private terms, today sold P. T. Chinn the three-year-old, Miss Wren, a doughter of Chicle — Oonah. She will be shipped to Kentucky to enter the stud. Max Hirsch, acting for Mrs. Pulitzer, sold to the B. B. Stable Tipperary II., an English importation. He was gelded, as were Odd Fellow II., Birdie Wrack, and Peter, other members of the stable. H. Jacobs has severed his connections as trainer for the Mascia Brothers stable, and in the future will handle the horses of B. G. Guth. and a division of the B. B. Stable. J. W. Bean, Washington sportsman and breeder, made his first appearance here on Monday. G. J. Saportas arrived with eight horses, while J. W. Healy brought six. W. J. Salmons Dr. Freeland pulled both bar plates in the running of the Belmont Stake Saturday. The accident happened as the horse left the half mile pole. Blue Larkspur came out of the Belmont Stakes Saturday suffering from minor cuts about his hind legs. The injuries are not of such a nature that they will halt his training. C. E. "Boots" Durnell came East to inspect the division that F. D. McElroy has in training here for the Three Ds Stock Farm. There will be several changes in the string here preparatory to the Saratoga season.
