A # TWO PROMINENT STABLES TO RACE AT HAWTHORNE • » A letter from John F. Schorr, trainer of | the E. B. McLean stable, received by the Hawthorne management yesterday, contained the information that the entire stable will race at Hawthorne during the summer meeting, commencing August 2. Schorr is bringing twenty-six horses, including Jock, Toro, Sil-verdale, Moscow, My Word, Mayor Walker, Port Harlem, Neddie, War Eagle, The Okah, Hades, Uptown Lad, Crossbones, and others. If Toro continues to train soundly he will be a potential factor not only in the Hawthorne Handicap but also in the Hawthorne Gold Cup to be run in the fall. John Lowe has also made "reservations for the Rancocas Stable, which will remain over for the Hawthorne meeting. The Audley Farm, J. B. Respess, Jack Baker, and many others now at Latonia will be here with their full string, and the pick of the horses at Fairmount will also be shipped here. As the summer meeting at Hawthorne does not conflict with any middle western race track, the management will have the selection of the cream of western racing. •
