SlN CLOVER, reserved within striking distance of the leaders, responded with good speed for the final drive, came to the outside and. reaching the faltering leaders entering the home stretch, drew out and had something in reserve to stall off PHILIP S FIRST. The latter, taken up -soon after the start and well back early, lost a lot of ground, but finished with good eouragc under a drive DAINTY MAID raced well up and held on well. 1I.KASANT SMILES forced a good pn. o, shook off IKTLR FIZ but tired at the end. SENALADO, away in a tangle and far back in the early stages, went to the outside for racing room and finished fast although bearing to the inside and just lasted to stall off RCNDALE. The latter secured racing room along the inner rail during the stretch and was going gamed.v. CIRClS RIDER raced into a slight lead, shook off LADY McNEILL and continued well LADY McNEILL entered contention on the outside, but tired in the final drive.
