I BLUE BONNETS NOTES I $ * MONTREAL, Que., June 19. Secretary John P. Turner has arranged to make a hurried departure for Hamilton Friday night to be on hand to accept entries for the opening day of the Hamilton Jockey Clubs meeting, which is scheduled to begin Monday. A racy looking filly has arrived at the A. R. Lawson farm, Grangeville, N. Y., by Sweep By, out of a mare from the family of Chacolet. The latter won the Dixie Stakes at Pimlico. Jockey S. Stretton, under contract to A. R. Lawson, leaves for Windsor at the conclusion of the meeting to ride for Mrs. McEachren at the Devonshire meeting. N. Wall will remain here with trainer Salt. Word from New York is that R. A. Smith contemplates shipping several of the horses in his stable to Latonia to fill stake engagements at that meeting. At the conclusion of the Blue Bonnets meeting the Joe Wormser stable will be returned to New York to race at the Empire City meeting. The string includes Irish Holiday, Shrew and Rubina. Lavana Fair, the Canadian-bred mare, which races for Wilfred Trcnholme, pulled up lame after her race Monday. F. C. Frisbies plater Valentino came out of his race yesterday with a split foot, which means he will be out of racing for a time. Thomasine also has gone wrong. She pulled up lame after a trial this morning and will be shipped back to Virginia to be turned out at G. C. Brentons farm at Manassas. The Eastland Farm Stable will be included in the shipment that leaves for Hamilton Saturday. E. J. Salt is another horseman who has decided to rest up at Blue Bonnets. The stewards here are anxious to clear up the matter of the eligibility of the horses in the Mrs. A. Vaughan stable. They are of the opinion that it is a matter of mistaken identity and they feel that when the proper information is had regarding the standing of the owner of these horses that the matter will be cleared up. *
