ROSE ONEILL, going in her best form, moved into prominence at once and drew past EASTER BOY beginning the stretch, to win thereafter as her rider pleased. EASTER BOY began fast and showed good speed, but was not good enough for the winner. SALLTA showed a good effort and finished gamely. CALC1TE raced well throughout. HANDIWORKER began slowly ami went wide throughout, en me with a rush in the stretch when urged hard. NUMANCIA was taken out of it after the first eighth. I.IMNO began well and, hard ridden, raced prominently throughout, but was tiring fast in the laajt sixteenth. GEORGE STACK saved much ground in the stretch and was going gamely near the end. SANDY MAN came steadily in the stretch after overcoming interference. MAXI.MIS showed a good effort. AVIN1FRED began slowly and was outrun. HURSTLAND began slowly and had to race wide from the start but, under hard riding, came steadily and was going fastest st the end and wonld have won in another stride. CAPTAIN J. S. was raced into exhaustion in an effort to overhaul CHICT.EDniT in the first half mile and tired when it appeared be had the race won. LAHOR began slowly and had to race wide all the way, then came steadily in the stretch and was going fastest at the end. BLUE JOHN began tiring when reaching the last eighth.
