LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES $ ; . LOUISVILLE, Kyv April 22. Judge James P. Edwards, who is a breeder of thoroughbred horses and has, at times, raced a string of horses, has been tendered the position of president of the Thoroughbred Horsemens Association, which will hold a meeting at Lexington on Wednesday evening. Kay Spence, trainer of the Audley Farm Stable, will campaign the entire stable under his charge at Fairmount Park, after the Downs meeting is over., He will race at La-tonia, then go to Hawthorne and race at Lincoln Fields after the close of the Cicero track. Jim Gass, trainer of the C. E. Hamilton horses, has brought his stock, consisting of four nead, from Douglas Park to the Downs. He sent the two-year-old General Keeps in this barn to the farm of J. C. Carrick; near Georgetown, to be turned out, as his legs would not permit of his being kept in training. R. T. Runnels moved his horses, which were assigned stalls at Douglas Park on their arrival in Louisville from New Orleans, over to the Downs today. John Marsch returned from Lexington on Monday night, but took his departure for Chicago the same evening.
