ABDUCTION", breaking fast and having good speed under vigorous urging, managed to assume a slight lead -at once, saved ground and, hard ridden through the final three-eighths, withstood a drive and outstayed MISS CANOPY. The latter improved her position gradually and closed fast in the final drive. ZEBRA moved into contention with a rush and finished fast. SHIELD, a prominent factor throughout, tired slightly in the final drive. RUNNING GIRL showed a good performance. PRINCE APOLLO was unable to get to the leaders. BABBIE was going well near the end. EQUATION began very slowly, went wide to secure racing room, readied the winner near the final eighth post, but tired from his early efforts. The latter, rated within striking distance of the leaders, swung to the outside and closed fast BOUNDING DEEP, a forward factor throughout, .raced HARVARD into defeat, but faltered in the final drive. REJUVENATION closed a good g:ip. AlMONT showed a good game effort. GAY , PARISIAN was .always outrun. HARVARD quit.
