LANCASTER STEEPLECHASE SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. MANCHESTER, England, April 22. The Lancashire Steeplechase, three miles and a half, resulted in an easy victory for J. S. Shepherds East Galaway, the eleven-year- old jumper. He defeated Lady Helen Mc-" " Calmonts Alike by four lengths. Major A. F. W. Gossages Drin was third, beaten off. The winner carried 169 pounds. Alike carried 144 pounds and Drin 151 pounds. Drin was favorite at even money. East Galaway was 100 to S, and Alike 11 to 2. There were nine starters. ,
