LEXINGTON TURF NOTES e LEXINGTON. Ky., May 2. That J. N. Camdens Sydney exhibited ability in finishing second to the Greentreo Stables crack older Stars and Bars, in a mile race here AVednesday, Avas the opinion expressed by many horsemen today. Stars and Bars ran the mile in 1:38, the fastest time of the meeting to date. A. D. Steele will ship to Churchill Downs Sunday the sixteen horses he has in training for C. C. and G. Y. Hieatt, Louisville patrons. In the consignment Avill be Chariot and Star Lassie, tAvo candidates for the Kentucky Derby. Five of the J. N. Camden horses, including the Kentucky Derby candidate Sydney, were returned to Churchill Downs this morning. Leros and Honey Locust, starters this afternoon, go to the LouisAille track Saturday. Jockey R. Deprema, injured Avhile filling his engagement on Eton in the second race Thursday, AAas unable to accept mounts today. AV. Garner and L. Pichon Avere back in action, the former entirely recoAered from the effects of a fall from Weideleen, AAhile Pichon sported a bruised right thigh, the result of being "cowkicked" by Don Hart as he unsaddled him folloAving Thursdays race.
