Gallant Fox and High Foot Equal Choices for Derby j : j LOUISVILLE, ICy., May 2. According to the quotations of local representatives of Kentucky Derby winter book operators, the Valley Lake Stabls High Foot is now equal choice with the Belair Studs Gallant Fox at 4 to 1. High Foot found lively support following his recent good mile trial over the Churchill Downs track, while admirers of Gallant Fox are reported as awaiting the Sir Gallahad III. colts Preakness showing before angling for pre-race odds. There was a flood of support for Gallant Fox immediately following his Wood Memorial Stakes triumph, and only a drastic cut in the odds stemmed the tide of eastern money for the Belair star. In the list of odds received this morning Tannery, Buckeye Poet and Gallant Knight -are held at 8, 4, 2 each, while Playtime, at one time quoted at 200 to 1, is 20, 10, 5. Both Tannery and Buckeye Poet were opened at 100 to 1, according to local commissioners.
