JUDGE CHARLES PRICE ON HAND Judge Charles F. Price, steward in charge of racing for the coming Washington Park race meeting, was profuse in his praise of the plant when he visited it Friday, accompanied by Colonel Matt J. Winn and judge C. W. Hay. "Washington Park becomes a more beautiful race course as the years pass by. The changes which have been evolved since I first saw the plant are remarkable." Thus spoke judge Price as he viewed the verdant spaces of the Homewood track. Continuing, he said: "Judge Hay assures me there will be nearly 2,000 horses from which to make up our program. This is a bigger list than I have ever known at any other track. Judging from a casual glance at the list of stable reservations, I am certain these are horses of a very high quality. More eastern stables are represented than has been the rule in this section. More than likely several, track records will be broken during the thirty-day session." *
