The American Derby, headliner of the thirty days of racing, will be run on Saturday afternoon, June 20. The American Derby, with its 0,000 in added money, is expected to prove one of the greatest three-year-old contests of the year. In addition to all of the leading contestants in the Kentucky Derby there are eligible a number that were not named for the Bluegrass event, and others which were named but were not ready for the Downs race. The Washington Park Handicap for Monday has attracted a brilliant list of nominations. This event, over six furlongs, for three-year-olds and over, will bring out such performers as Mrs. Payne Whitneys Justinian, R. W, Collins Don Leon, Gallaher and Combs Lady Fingers, E. F. Prichards Tannery, W. C. and E. W. Reicherts Brown Wisdom and My Dandy, T. E. Muellers Cayuga, Charles Bacharachs All Upset, Herbert M. Woolfs Best Man and Lady Broadcast, W. T. Waggoner and Sons Pansy Walker, Brown-ell Combs Manta and other good ones. Other stakes to be decided during the meeting are: Debutante Stakes, for two-year-old fillies, at five and a half furlongs, for ,000 added, on Decoration Day, Saturday, May 30. Robert M. Schweitzer Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, at one and one-eighth miles, for ,000 added, on Saturday, May 30. Illinois Oaks, for three-year-old fillies, at one and an eighth miles, for 0,000 added, on Saturday, June 6. Thomas Curran Memorial, for two-year-old colts and geldings, at five and a half furlongs, for ,000 added, on Saturday, June 13. American Derby, for three-year-olds, at one mile and a quarter, for 0,000 added, on Saturday, June 20. Francis S.
