WOODBINE PARK INAUGURAL Kings Plate Big Attraction of Opening Day Racing at Beautiful Toronto Track. The Ontario Jockey Club will Lhrow open the gates of beautiful Woodbine Park tomorrow for the inauguration of the annual spring meeting. There is an abundance of racing material on hand, and every effort will be made to supply throughbred sport of the highest caliber during the seven-day racing. As usual, the Kings Plate, endowed with 0,000 added, has been listed as the bright and particular attraction for the inaugural, and with a field of twelve named overnight, the seventy-second running of this old turf fixture should provide one of the most spectacular events in its long history. Included among the field to strive for the valuable prize are the pick of those that were nominated with the closing of the stake, and the best jockeys available have been secured to ride. Should the entire dozen start, the winner, in addition to earning the fifty guineas that is the gift of his majesty the king, will earn exactly ,850. Should any withdrawals occur, a deduction of 0 will be made. The Seagram Stable, with a trio of entrants; the Thorncliffe Stable of Messrs. Davies, with a like number, and R. W. R. Cowie are considered to hold the strongest and most formidable contestants. Ideal weather conditions have been forecast, and with the racing strip in perfect condition, the renewal of the Kings Plate should add to the brilliant history of Americas oldest turf prize. In addition to the Kings Plate, six other interesting events have been placed on the program, with the two miles of the Fraser Memorial Handicap, this to be run as the third number, accorded secondary mention.
