WOODWARD TO SEE DERBY NEW YORK. N. Y., May 22.— William Woodward, chairman of The Jockey Club, who races a stable of thoroughbreds here and in England, sailed from New York Wednesday on the Mauretania for Southampton. He is going to England especially to see his white silks with red spots carried by Sir Andrew in the Epsom Derby on June 3. Sir Andrew, American-bred son of Sir Gallahad III. — Gravitate, is trained by Capt. C. Boyd-Rochfort, and is conceded a good chance by English experts of winning the worlds most famous race. He won the Newmarket Handicap last week. A few hours before sailing Mr. Woodward received word of the victory of another member of his English string, The Scout II. winning the Yorkshire Cup. The Scout II. also is American-bred and is by Sir Gallahad III. — La Rable.
