FAIRMOUNTS FATE IN BALANCE CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 26— General manager Robert S. Eddy, Jr., of the Fair-mount Park Jockey Club, who also serves as a steward at Bainbridge Park, left for Springfield, 111., where the bill proposing a reduction of the Fairmount daily tax comes up for action in the legislature. Mr. Eddy said he had no plans to announce for Fair-mount until the outcome of this bill is determined. He said under the present burdensome taxation Fairmount cannot operate with a profit. He pointed out that Aurora, with a surrounding population of 4,000,000 to draw from, operated under a ,000 less daily tax than Fairmount, which has little over a million surrounding population, which includes St. Louis, Mo.
