Start good out of machine. Won driving ; second and third the same. EMANCIPATE showed high speed from the start, raced ST. MICA and CRIMSON ROSE into defeat and outlasted LIDA G. in the final drive. The latter suffered early interference, responded well when clear and finished stoutlv. MEA was blocked when she tried to go through between the leaders entering the final eighth, recovered and finished well. CRIMSON ROSE raced forwardly throughout. SUN TWEED finished under urging. ST. MICA tired at the end. LEON LASS moved up under urging, but tired at the end. LINGUIST showed a good performance. SKIPPY L. moved up fast and showed a flash of early speed. CONTRITION jumped well throughout and, saving ground on the turns, shook off the others when ready and drew away at the end. FAIR MOSS, under restraint to the first turn, moved up steadily when called upon and outlasted ABDUL II. The latter began slowly, closed ground under urging, but tired at the end. DEGAS lost much ground and tired under weak handling. TASMAN challenged gamely when called upon, but raced into close quarters between the leaders near the ninth fence. CAPTAIN HOOK showed a good performance throughout. CHICATIE raced well. WILLIAMS PRIDE jumped poorly and was eased up after the fifth fence. Scratched— 59086 Luckite. 133. PEACOCK ALLEY was gaining steadily at the end. DEFIER finished resolutelv on the outside. OSCULATOR had no mishaps. DON RED was bumped about early. ESPINACA began slowly. BROTHER JOE tired when put to urging. RED COAT raced green. STIMULATOR dwelt and was as good as left.
