| . * i ] ! , I ; 1 I ] 1 : • COLLAR ADA ROSE SCORES Accounts for Canadian-Bred Race on Delorimier Park Program — Big Crowd Turns Out. ] MONTREAL, Que., May 26 — Canadian-breds figured in possibly the most interesting race of a well balanced program at Delorimier Park today, the third day of the J meeting, and the winner in easy fashion j was Collar Ada Rose, six-year-old daughter ] of Roselyn, which races for the Dorchester Stable, trained by Harvey Gibson, former riding star. It marked the first success of • the one-time clever rider in the role of a trainer. The race was over six and a half furlongs, I and Glen Horn, riding his second victory of the afternoon, was always the dominating ] factor astride the winner. He rushed Collar Ada Rose to the front along the inside right • after the start and was never headed. The mare began to tire after making the final turn, and Span was drawing up menacingly after having made up a great deal of ground on the outside. Horn was forced to ride out his mount, and she had enough left to respond. Span, finishing gamely, was second, I outlasting Airport at the end. With fine weather prevailing for the first time of the meeting and ladies the guests of the club, there was a big crowd out.
