LIBERTIN took the lead soon after the start and, drawinc into a lone lead, stumbled on landing at the sixteenth and seventeenth fences and, responding gamely when BILYCOCK drew up on even terms after the seventeenth obstacle, was hard ridden and drew out thereafter- BILLYCOCK, restrained for two miles, drew up on even terms with the winner, but tired fast in the last quarter. LIVE ONE worked his way up on the outside and, withstanding a hard drive gamely, wore down TRICKY COLONEL and got up in the last sixteenth. TRICKY COLONEL got up midway of the back stretch, came through on the inside and gained command in the last eighth, holding on willingly. FLYING WINGS, hard hustled from the start, tired in the final drive. GUILFORD, away well, showed a dull performance. CRIMSAL tired. FROTH BLOWER, closest to AYMOND from the start, gained steadily in the last half mile and, responding to punishment in the last eighth and under a hard drive, was up in the last twenty yards. AYMOND, showing ability in the going, opened up a good early lead, was shaken up entering the stretch and fought it out gamely. GAY PARISIAN, slow to get going, circled the others and finished fast. PAT GAIETY moved up fast entering the stretch, but was unable to keep up in the last eighth. REFINER tired when put to a drive. KITLING quit badly. FR1S1US, hard ridden to the first turn, was taken under restraint while withstanding contention from MERIDIAN QUEEN, went to the middle of the track in the stretch, continued gamely when forced to a drive and outstayed STORM. The latter, racing under light restraint, came through on the inside when moving up and, finishing fast, was wearing down the winner. RIDEAWAY, prominent throughout, finished gamely on the outside. MARINE was never able to menace the leaders. GREY COAT raced evenly. MER ID1AN QUEEN, taken up goine to the first turn, was steadied alone in pursuit of FRISIUS for seven eighths, was placed to punishment, but could not keep up. BERBER was neer dangerous. TIMON. outrun for half a mile, worked his way up on the outside, was taken wide into the stretch and tired at the end. VOLTEAR, badly outrun early, closed with a belated rush. DAISY FAIR, fractious at the post, raced well in the early staces and held on gamely. LEW BLACK fell back steadily after three eighths. IRISH INDIAN showed a flash of early speed. FLYING ZENO, hurried into a contending position and rated under restraint for three-quarters, displaced! ZEAL approaching the stretch and, under hard pressure, outfinished FAIR ORB. The latter worked her way up fast after three-quarters and was steadily wearing down the winner. ZEAL opened up a good lead when settled on the back stretch, saved ground thereafter and held on well. MOON PHASE closed gamely, ISOSTASY was going gamely at the end. TRYON quit when put to a drive. Overweight — Tryon. 2 pounds: Eleusagon, 2; Saints Fancy. 3. _
