EPSOM OAKS TO BRULETTE EPSOM DOWNS. England, June 5.— The historic Epsom Oaks here today was won by an outlander. The victory went to Col. C. W. Birkins French-bred and trained filly Brulette. She defeated Lord Ellesmeres One Thousand Guineas winner, Four Course over the mile and a half course. W. M. G. Singers Links Tor was third. There were fifteen . starters, and the French filly, ridden by E. C. Elliott, won by one length. Four Course and Links Tor were lapped on each other. Brulette was the 7 to 2 favorite, while Four Course was 6 to 1, and Links Tor 10 to 1. Fred Fox, who rode Cameronian to victory in the Epsom Derby and Parenthesis in the Coronation Gold Cup yesterday, was in the saddle on Four Course. The King and Queen were present for the race.
