FOSTER came strong on the stretch turn and, drawing clear of the others a sixteenth out, was doing her best at the end to retain her advantage. COPPER forced the pace to the stretch turn, then dropped back in the stretch, but came again and finished fast. CALWICK raced into contention after the first quarter and held on fairly well thereafter. THRACE acted badly at the post, closed ground and finished strongly. TYROL was carried wide on the stretch turn. ROMAN BLAZE closed ground. RED GRANGE tired badlv in the last eighth. BABOO raced forwardly from the start, overhauled YOUR FLAG, but failed to withstand the winner. YOUR FLAG saved ground entering the stretch, but tired and barely saved third. RARE CHARM finished fast. ALAMAE raced FINTR into defeat and both tired in the stretch. CHICLERO closed strongly in the last quarter. THUNDERTONE moved up fast next to the rail after rounding the far turn and, finishing fast on the outside of NELL KUHLMAN in the last sixteenth, got up to win in the final strides. The latter raced forwardly throughout and held on gamely in the final drive. MARY BANE, never far back, finished resolutely. GRAND ACRE was tiring when racing in the heavy going in the stretch and was taken to the outside in the iast eighth in the best going. THISTLE LASS tired. PETERKIN closed ground. The latter raced on the outside of the winner throughout, secured a slight lead under hard urging an eighth out, but tired at the end. CROWNED HEAD, held the others safe in the last half mile, but finished tiring. SANTON showed speed for half a mile while racing on the outside, then tired. BOBS PLAY could not get up and had no mishaps. EVENING SKY came again when straightened out in the stretch and finished gamely on the inside of PADDY FLARATY and nosed out the latter in the final stride. PADDY FLARATY raced wide in the stretch. MADDER improved his position. RADIO SERVICE saved ground in the stretch. PADDY FLARATY and GOTHAM acted badly at the post and GOTHAM refused to start. The others tired.
