• f LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES y : : $ TORONTO, Ont, June 6. Ned Henderson will rest up the nine head of the Fox Chapel Stable at Woodbine. He will later ship to Arlington Park, Chicago. The string embraces the good jumpers Liber-tin and Sardaneza, both stake winners at Woodbine. William Skene purchased the Craig and Eran horse, Passing By, from R. E. Perry. This imported horse is destined for a stud career and will hold court at the Skene farm which is located a few miles outside of Toronto. Ferseth, which was cut down so badly in the sixth race Thursday that it was found necessary to destroy him, was buried in the center field at Long Branch. Good Shepherd, Contemplate and Scotland have been placed on starter Palmers outside list, while Black Friar, Eilona, Nick Cullop, Some Time and Lord Cardigan, which displayed such bad post manners Thursday, have been placed on the schooling list. Zarf has been taken over to the barrier since being placed on the schooling list and schooled so well that he has been permitted to start. Butter John also has been schooled. The Crane starter has also been taken off the schooling list but has been added to the list of horses that will be assigned post positions in any race in which he may be a starter. W. Baines unloaded Knave of Clubs, Highland Fling and a couple of other platers at Dufferin Park Thursday. The shipment came from Montreal. A. E. Alexander has taken over the stable of W. E. Bulmer to train. It includes Post-ville and Oat Box among others. Jockey G. McCann became the father of a baby boy Thursday. Both Mrs. McCann and the boy are doing fine. This is the versatile rider who rode both on the flat and through the field at Woodbine. The large string of the W. S. Kilmer-J Whyte stable will be shipped to Blue Bonnets on Tuesday.
