PRINCESS CAMELIA. well ridden and rushed up fast in the first quarter, saved ground in the final three eighths and, holding on well under strong riding, outstayed AT SUNRISE for a lucky win. The latter, best and raced unnecessarily wide in the first three-eighths, where she kept up under light restraint, closed Resolutely and lost a hard race. MARCASITE egan fast, but could not keep up, lost ground in the stretch and was best of the others. JALIE tired badly after showing speed for half a mile. The others Were badlv outrun. BLACK COMET raced into the lead with a rush after a quarter and, drawing into decisive command, tired, but was not seriously threatened. BEAUTIFUL DOLL showed speed from the start, raced in close quarters for five-sixteenths and, getting clear, saved ground and held on well. PORTMANTEAU began slowly, lost ground and closed with a rush. FUDGE showed a good performance. GETTIN EVEN met early interference and raced well. BOILING quit. DOWNPOUR was forced back on the turn and never recovered. HIGH COLOR showed early speed. MODERATION worked his way up boldly on the stretch turn, but tired. GRIFF W. had no mishaps. THE! AVON showed a fair performance. GOLD MINT was badlv outrun. JIMMY MORAN saved ground, failed to threaten the winner and was got severely punished. ILIUM began fast, but could not keep up after half a mile, yet outstayed ULUNJU. The latter showed poor form. RAY BLADES was close up, but tired after challenging in the back stretch. PANSY WALKER was done after showing speed under urging to the stretch. EVERYTIME was outrun. ALYSSUM. hustled into a long lead when negotiating the first turn, continued with good speed under clever rating the subsequent five-eighths, then faltered but lasted. COUSIN JO began well, was under occasional brisk urging during the first five-eighths, then dropped back slightly approaching the stretch, but closed gamely under her impost and just failed to get up. ANNE ARUNDEL saved ground throughout and tired in the final quarter. OVERLAY could not get to the leaders and quit.
