SIR WALTER showed early speed after starting from outside the machine, bore over steadily towards the outside and tired. JACK B. raced green, but finished fast. HAPPY PLAY raced, even 1 v. ICICLE was rated along under restraint, moved up when called upon, was taken under restraint and, coming again in the last eighth, finished fast to wear down BROWN RULER in the final strides. The latter, under restraint to the first turn of the field, responded well when called upon, drew away into a brief lead, but lost ground at the final fence and held on gamely to the end. VALOROUS showed speed under restraint to the first turn, but tired badly when put to a drive. MY CARE bobbled at several jumps and quit badly in the last half mile. The others were outrun. IMPISH ran in spots and had no mishaps. BILLOUR quit under pressure. DON PEDRO was knocked out of contention passing the half mile post. SUN SHADOW was outrun throughout.
