DIXIE DAN worked his way up on the outside in the stretch and finished gamely. WOODY LONG worked his way up in close quarters between horses in the last sixteenth and outgamed SLY POLLY. The latter had no excuses and tired near the end. EUPHRATES raced on the o-jtside in the last half mile DOMINA and PRINCESS DARE tired. ENTHUSIASTIC could not get up. NOAHS PRIDE raced closer up than usual in the early stages, but could not e;et up. NELL Kl HI. MAN closed much ground and finished well. EPIDEMIC finished stoutly. STARKIST suffered interference on the stretch turn, but outlasted the others. MUFF was in close quarters entering the stretch and finished tiring. RARE CHARM tired. HELEN DEAN tired. BOCARATONE acted badly at the post, broke from the extreme outside, displayed speed to the final eighth while Meade deliberately interfered with the winner. DAN BURNHAM was well up throughout, saved much ground in the stretch run and was easilv best of the others. YARGEE closed some ground. The others tired.
