OLDER STARS IN FAST WORK Gallant Knight, Mike Hall and Paul Bunyan Gallop Impressively at Washington Park. HOMEWOOD, 111., June 20. — Gallant Knight, Mike Hall and Paul Bunyan, among the western stars ready to oppose the brilliant Sun Beau in the 0,000 added Francis S. Peabody Memorial Handicap at Washington Park next Saturday, this morning received useful preparation for that one mile and a quarter test Gallant Knight went the Peabody Memorial route in 2:08, breezing, while Paul Bunyan breezed one mile and an eighth in 1:59%, and Mike Hall stepped half a mile in :48%, handily. Gallant Knight was going CJjt during the final half-mile of his work for, after covering the three-quarters in 1:17, he reached the close of a mile in 1:42%, and completed one mile and an eighth in 1:54%. Miki Hall was slated for a long trial Sunday. Sun Beau, accompanied by Sun Falcon, is scheduled to reach the Homewood track from New York Sunday. Snowflake, Walter J. Salmons winner of the 1930 Illinois Oaks and champion three-year-old filly of that year, is another among the certain starters in the Peabody Memorial.
