BIG CROWD AT BROOKLINE BROOKLINE, Mass., June 20.— Land Boy lost his crown as the unbeatable hunter in this section here this afternoon, when Price McKinneys Golden Gorse, ridden by his young owner, triumphed by ten lengths over A. F. Goodwins veteran over the three mile course laid out on the Country Club grounds here. Carrying 165 pounds, ten pounds less than the favorite, Golden Gorse accounted for the National Hunt Cup Handicap Steeplechase for hunters. It was Golden Gorses second straight triumph in the event, as he won it last year under the silks of Rigan McKinney. Blazing summer weather prevailed for the sport today, and 7,000 persons, representing the bulk of Bostons society, turned out in a gala of bright clothes to witness the final program of the two-day meeting.
