W I BLUE BONNETS NOTES 9 _ s MONTREAL, Que., June 20. While being, led over from the Mount Royal track, the plater Don Gaspar got the better of his groom and breaking loose ran away. The last seen of Don Gaspar he was going toward the Laurentian mountains, where the weather was a bit cooler than in Montreal. The Harber Stable acquired by private purchase cf Charles Ferraro the plater Marcheur and the latter carried the colors of his new owner in the third race this afternoon. Jockey E. Fator received a wire informing him of the arrival of a bouncing baby boy at his home in New York. In the absence of Lloyd Gentry, who left last night for Chicago to saddle Boys Howdy in the American Derby, John Whyte saddled French Lass and Bad News Bob for the H. C. Hatch stable. Jack Healey will remain over with the C. V. Whitney horses until after the running of the Quebec Derby at Dorval next Saturday, in which event the three-year-old Ride-away has been nominated. Nyack, claimed a few days ago by Frank Seremba, was an arrival and has been nominated for the Quebec Derby. E. J. Salt, who is training the second division of the Seagram Stable, announced that he would ship to Windsor a week from today. Andrew Blakely, who has rather a useful string up here, is shipping to Salem, N. H., Monday. J. B. Campbell is leaving for Biloxi, Miss. The other officials here leave for Hamilton. Mortimer Mahoney and several of his crew return to Maryland. m
