DR. JOHN FREELAND DEAD RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 23. Funeral services were held here Friday for Dr. Johnv Freeland, who died Tuesday at Johns Hop-kins Hospital in Baltimore. Walter J. Salmon named the horse, Dr. Freeland, after him and the animal has been a good winner, taking the Preakness, Southern Maryland Handicap and other stakes.
