FAIR GROUNDS OFFICIALS NEW ORLEANS, La. Jan. 23 A, number of new racing officials will serve duringr the Fair Grounds meeting. They include C. J. FitzGerald and J., B. Campbell, stewards; William H Shelley and. Charles J. McLennan; placing judges,, and. William Woodward, patrol judge.. Judge Campbell, former racing secretary and steward at Jefferson Park, is succeeding Martin Nathan-son, and Judge FitzGerald is replacing George Brown, Jr. The post to be taken by judge Shelley formerly was occupied by Julius G. Reeder, while Charles .McLennan is succeeding N. H. McClelland. H P. Conk-ling returns as one of the placing judges, while William Hamilton will direct the starting, and Joseph McLennan is racing secretary.
